Television extras of the 1970's? Is there a way to find out who they are?

Zulema Baccam: Extras don't have their names listed in the credits of television shows. If you know them personally, maybe they have a tape of the programs they were on.

Linwood Mccory: you can go to this website called internent movie database and look up the tv show. if they have it they will give you a list of the cast members and if you press more they will also give you names of the extras

Walter Scordino: Most extras were not recorded. The names in the credits were the only ones they really kept track off. If you didn't have a speaking part, you were an extra. The pay was very low and the screen time was usually short. If you wanted to know who an extra was in a particular television episode, you would need to find out what day it was shot, and maybe get hold of the casting director to find out if he/she remembers their source for extras that day. Then you might be able to find some people who were there who could identify those they worked with.S! ince you said you were looking at a specific actress, you need to find out if she has/had an agent. That is where that data would be kept. You might considering just asking her if you know her. People generally remember what acting jobs they had....Show more

Gerardo Greist: I was thinking the actress I was looking for had to go to a casting office and had to give her info of some sort and maybe had photos of her because she was on a lot of television shows. I was thinking did the Hollwood studios save that stuff. I don't think they throw away things done at studios. Thanks
