Rana Rudell: I got my GED when I was 16 and I never technically made it past the 8th grade. I got promoted up to the 9th grade, but it was just because I was too old. I graduated college with a 3.4GPA with a degree in Computer Science (one of the hardest Bachelor's you can get). Granted, it wasn't a fancy school like Harvard or MIT, but it was a 4yr University. I've also been in the Army National Guard for 7yrs. I have not run into a single problem by only having a GED. I didn't do well in high school and what not, because I moved around alot and had a very strong rebellious side back then. I regret it and I wouldn't suggest going the route I did, but it's worked for me. So, if a GED is your only hope then hope is not lost. I would try to do High School and finish like a normal kid, but things happens and not everyone can....Show more
