Nelly Kikuchi: Use a router with the cable modem to access the internet from either computer. Unless you mark drives and folders on one computer as shared, they cannot be accessed from the other computer. Just allow sharing where you want it to occur.
Pam Rampadarat: if i connect ( modem > Computer A>router> computer B) what will happen. Computer A can access the files in computer B or what will happen. please explain me
Sang Hanafin: Connect the cable modem to the router through the Cat5 cable. Then connect individual cat5 cables from the router to your separate computers. If you don't want the computers to see each other, change the workgroup each computer is in and make sure they're in different workgroups (Right click My Computer-->Properties-->Computer Name tab--> Change button-->Change workgroup name).
